Who can receive the pass? A computational model for quantifying availability in soccer

چکیده
Abstract The paper presents a computational approach to Availability of soccer players. is defined as the probability that pass reaches target player without being intercepted by opponents. Clearly, model for this grounds on models ball dynamics, movements, and technical skills giver. Our aggregates these quantities all possible passes compute single value. Empirically, our outperforms state-of-the-art competitors using data from 58 professional matches. Moreover, experiments indicate can even outperform coaches in assessing availability players static images.
